Spacious bar offering a number of draught beer choices and a good range of bottled beers from Belgium and beyond. Cheese & meat platter and bar snacks available if you can bring for in for 2 a head. Lovely and comfortable upstairs. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. If you like your Belgian beers, this is definitely a place for you to visit. Highly recommended.
Authentic Belgian beer. Range of choices varied enough to satisfy all preferences. A place to ease my Lambic cravings. Everything looks and feels very “well-thought” (beer selection, glasses, drinks menu (other than beer), tables, etc.) for food they have a bar menu but you can order or collect from somewhere else and eat there. One of my favourite beer places in Bury, if you love Belgian beer and want to try something new it’s the right place to be. They have 2 floors with easy access to toilets. You can taste different beers and decided what’s the best for you, some of the beers are pretty strong so everyone can find something they like. The bar staff are very friendly and great with recommendations depending on your preferences. A must try place in Bury.
Had a wonderful time here today. Whoever was working the day shift was so accommodating and knowledgable. We had a very noisy baby and were not made to feel like that was a problem like so many venues do. Beer was amazing and the whole place well decorated and authentic well worth a visit!!!
A charming spot right in the heart of town—perfect for drinks. We love the cozy board games area upstairs. We've visited a few times for relaxed evenings, and the staff have always been friendly and welcoming.
Well, well, bravo Bury St Edmunds! Isn't Vespers the funky, cool place?! I'd never been before and thought it was just downstairs and the courtyard. Friday night had a great vibe to it. I thought I could hear someone's party: warm sounds of talking and laughter & realised it was upstairs! It has a really awesome lounge party atmosphere. A thorough mishmash of people were there friday night: young funkster dudes, older beardy dudes & everyone in between, everyone just mingling and mixing. Was a great atmosphere Oh! And don't forget the beers! The house blonde, for me, was the best of the bunch and the staff were great in allowing tastings. Even with it being so busy, there was a real relaxed vibe (or seemed so from my side of the bar, so well done team in nailing that!). Real friendly, really great beers, super location and premises are perfect. Nice job guys! I'll certainly back!
Located just on edge of town centre so not on the main route but minimal walk to town and The Arc. Great variety and flavours of beers / ales available, with a large range of strength so be careful what you order as some have a real kick! We had a cheese / meat sharing platter which was really tasty and complimented the drink nicely! Will return for sure and highly recommend as somewhere worth a visit if you're wanting something a little bit different to normal
